German copyright law provides exceptions for educators:

Teaching Materials for Educators

I am often asked by teachers if they can use the information from this site for their own art lessons. I always say “YES, gladly!” I also appreciate it when they mention the source of the information.

👉  Images and texts may be used for educational purposes WITH acknowledgement of source.

Other types of use

In principle, no permission is granted for the use of the text and image material on other websites.
For commercial purposes, permission may be granted in exceptional cases. For this purpose ALWAYS inquire beforehand.

👉  A source reference is ALWAYS required even with permitted use!

For press products

I ask for prior request regarding the rights of use and for the info when and where the content will be published. I am also available for possible interviews or guest contributions.

👉  ALWAYS obtain individual permission for the use of images or text for journalistic purposes. Use only WITH reference to the source.

For commercial projects

If you are looking for an image for a flyer, logo, poster or similar, it is not uncommon to ask if the image material on this page may be used. The commercial use of the image and text material of this site is basically NOT allowed. Requests for use I ask to make only if it is intended to pay also for the use.

👉 A free, commercial use is generally excluded! Permitted uses AFTER given permission always WITH source reference.

For private projects

The use of the text and image material of this site is NOT allowed without explicit permission. Hotlinking of images explicitly belongs to this non-permitted use!

The permission of use can be granted on request. For this, I ask that the project and the type of use is described in detail when contacting me.

A use on other websites is generally NOT allowed and therefore does not need to be requested. Links to (sub-) pages are allowed (direct image and file links are NOT allowed, see “hotlinking” above).
